I hate asking for help on here as this place is mostly not intended for that but fuck it for now, I need help on this one!

Installing Arch isn't working for me. Installing any other Linux system (debian or RHEL based) works great.

I've seen some things online about EFI files and so on but I honestly don't understand what that stuff is (about).

Help.

    Had the same problem... In a VM it works fine but baremetal it is just a pain in the ass, speciali since they killed the beginners guide...

    Boot order is correct.

    @linuxxx Did you run the grub setup after the 'basic' arch install?

    Here is what I have learned so far:
    1. Sometimes the bootloader needs to be in the EFI/Boot directory and need to be named bootx64.efi
    2. Sometimes an complete override of the MBR and efi helps.
    3. Some efis have trouble with the nvram

    @n0ah I just ran the Manjaro installer, figured it'd run a grub install itself.

    Didn't work so ran a grub repair through Ubuntu - it can't find a system after entering the correct lukscrypt password (disk encryption)

    Manjaro installation only one step to be careful. The partition step. Especially if you have other distro installed. For me, I have formatted the previous partition. Then make two partition. One for the efi as suggested in the instructions and another for / a.k.a root.

    @FrodoSwaggins if he has uefi firmware, he should use systemd

    Gonna get bashed for this but anyway, have you set the boot flag on your root partition? I had a similar issue to this and turns out that all I did was forget the boot flag.

    systemd is a beautiful thing, and not hard to set up
