awesomeest1221206dSince whatever this is wasnt too costly to play for...
Also, I'm unfairly gifted at crane games. -
TeachMeCode5174206dEngrish from a cheap ass translation app or schitzophrenic word salad gobbledeeguk. Former is most likely.

TeachMeCode5174206dOr it’s a hand that magically turns into a cat. It crawls around on its own like Thing and randomly turns into a cat. Or it remains as a Thing type creature and the Chinese translation for “thung” maps to “cat”.
The Addams family started

They all came out retarded
The Adams family! -
awesomeest1221205d@TeachMeCode its not translation apps. From my vast exp, china's version of near-english just ends up with some really odd yet often used phrasing, especially when it's any type of flavour text. Think of how little kids (kindergarten age) will learn/use new words after being around more kids their age. All of them are at the same low yet relatively confident level of vocab/etc... if no one is around to point out a lack of understanding or misconception from a clearly better than their's level of knowledge, mistakes are repeated and propagated til someone takes effort to explain why theyre wrong.
Issue is, in most of the stuff chinese do with native speakers (like sales/trade), unless it's too wrong to understand at all, it's just ignored for peace and brevity. -
TeachMeCode5174204d@awesomeest so it’s more like generations of traditionally mislabeling stuff passed down from teachers who don’t realize or want to be wrong so they’ll end up teaching kids that the English version of the Chinese word for car is “flying cat monster”
-
TeachMeCode5174204d@awesomeest kinda disturbing bc to change “flying cat monster” to car they would have to rewrite textbooks, ads, get people used to saying car when flying cat monster was imprinted in their brains. It would be a total pain in the ass

awesomeest1221203d@TeachMeCode no. It's moreso the fact that it's compulsory education in english. Pieces of english in media, imported goods, any potentially tourist-worthy place, etc., is all around. Basically, it's overly familiar and often they are just using english for simple stuff. So the errors on what they say typically dont get corrected by peers, the more times it's used without directly being told that it's wrong, or the more common gateway-- 'sounds weird'/'a native speaker wouldn't phrase it like that', then it's cemented as "correct".

TeachMeCode5174200d@awesomeest they’re even using coding comp sci terms lol tree array square sounds like a new cutting edge data structure
“with tree array square we can achieve randomized quantum insertion complexity in slightly less than O(n*1 quantum unit) time” -
awesomeest1221200d@TeachMeCode while my mandarin is certainly below fluent... aside from the a subbed in for an s, its rather literally accurate.

Anyone know wtf this is supposed to be?
I looked at the several pictures in its description too... I'll add them after a little while, but I'm not sure they'd be anything but more questions.
