VSCode Extension Store, served by our friends at @MS_Headquarts won't let me leave a negative review about their crappy python extensions that change their ways more often than other people change their underwear!
The traces of shit are similar though.

    Fun fact: they obfuscated the code of this extension, which offers no protection but runs ~3x slower 🤡

    @devRancid obfuscation normally doesn‘t make the program run more slowly.

    @Lensflare it does
    Search for "performance" or "slow": https://obfuscator.io/

    @devRancid Ah, javascript. What I wanted to say is that obfuscators for real languages shouldn’t make the code slower.

    @Lensflare 🤓 alright then show me a "real" language + obfuscator that isn't slowed down when replacing almost every operating with more code

    @devRancid I haven’t used obfuscators for more than a decade but back then it was Java.
    IIRC, the code is not necessarily "more". But even if it is more, it doesn’t mean it’s slower. The magic of compilation.
