So I signed up for my first hackathon two weeks ago, which is today.

AND YESTERDAY I GET AN EMAIL WHERE THEY'RE LIKE "sorry but there are too many people who signed up so we couldn't sign you up"

WTF

ITS NOT LIKE YOU KNEW THIS TWO WEEKS AGO WHEN THE INSCRIPTION FORM WAS STILL ONLINE (it still is...)

OR MAYBE UPDATE THE FUCKING DESCRIPTION TO TELL THE PEOPLE WHO SIGN UP AND ARE REALLY EXCITED RIGHT AWAY YOU'RE FULL!!!!

FUUCK

Do it the Kevin Mitnik way. Social engineer your self into this hackathon as the jury, and nominate the shitiest hackathon project on stage. Everybody will ask "who's that guy?" 😄

@heyheni I like the idea, would be difficult though because of the language... (The hackathon is not in my mother language)

Write them an email and tell them your situation. Worked for me the last time 😉

Yes email them. Also if you do not go to that school you are second priority. But still email them

A couple of weeks ago I had also signed up for my first hackathon organized within my organization.

Got me super excited! My team was brain storming the ideas for the whole week.

Ironically, the Event got cancelled reason being the registration were way too low.
    Only 2 teams registered 🤐

@n4m31ess-c0d3r Haha when a company does a hackathon with it's own devs on a weekend it's just one thing. Sugercoated free work on a weekend for the company.
