Starting to develop a phobia of asking for help from senior devs since I can now sense their face-palm whenever I open my mouth.

Maybe I'm not ready to work as a junior dev yet...

I' am a Senior Developer. I provide my mentor and guidelines when they are in need. Most Senior Developers have KPI to mentor the Junior Developers.

When you go to ask prepare what you are going to ask and think how much information you can gather before you go to them. It's common to learn like this. But, what's important is you learning how they approach a problem and trying not to repeat it again and again.

Btw, I am sharing the same experience as yours. In a junior Dev role in the team.

@github yeah I try to do that. But then it still feels bad that I didn't know it or didn't notice it.

As github said, consider it a learning moment and try gathering as much information as you can about the problems you're facing. But do NOT, at any point ever, let ANYONE discourage you from asking questions, let alone developing a phobia about it. Otherwise, there will be a time when one question *will* be legitimate, and avoiding it will throw a ton of shit right into the fan.

Asking questions is good, and having someone to ask them to is very important - but you also have to learn how to stand up on your own feet.
What would you do if you were on your own? Where else would you look for an answer? How would you figure out a solution?

It took me 6 months to become an HTML Engineer and longer to become CSS Specialist. Don't give up! It's different for everyone :)

I'm a trainee as well, and I can relate to this, but also, you're supposed to ask them your doubts. Kind of a weird dynamic if you ask me.

@Bitwise I usually use Google first before I ask for help. But when I take too long for an estimated easy task...

I also try to read articles and docs between my train rides and lunch breaks. Usually from msdn.
