You know when you just wanna make something but you don't know what... Feel like my brain's idea generator just won't compile.

    Advent of code? I haven't done it myself yet but the bit sized challenges look fun

    to-do app.

    I have the opposite problem. Too many ideas but not enough motivation for most of them.

    @Lensflare Give me one. I could use it.

    @SidTheITGuy they are way too specific. I have some game ideas, some topics to explore like ray tracing, shader language, game engines, etc. And there is also the JoyRant project that needs some more features.

    Just today at night, my brain decided to come up with an idea instead of sleeping and now I’m excited to try it out. I won’t say what it is but maybe I can tell about in here in a few months when it’s functional. ;)

    @Lensflare dayuummm booii, you are into that level of programming. I can never do ray tracing coding and stuff like it.

    @SidTheITGuy me neither. I find it interesting but I lack the skills do do more than the very basic stuff 😂

    just had that exact thought today. thought if making a auto waterer since my plants are kinda dieing. But it probably requires ordering a sensor that can measure the moist, which i'm not to keen on

    @joewilliams007 there are off-the-shelf sensors you can buy off Amazon, connect to AWS IoT and manage on a Raspberry or lambda function

    who the fuck is downvoting my comments here?? Butthurt snowflakes I tell you lol

    @joewilliams007 Ali express is your friend for cheap senors

    @molaram not going to connect anything to aws 😬. I do have my own raspberry.

    @MammaNeedHummus i dont mind the cost, but i dont like that i have to order sth for my project. Idk if this makes sense.

    @joewilliams007 my brain went ahead and read "I do have standards" for a sec

    @MammaNeedHummus Not a bad idea actually, might have to give it a go sometime!

    @Lensflare Yeah that's the other side of the coin isn't it, great idea but no motivation or get part way through and lose interest and end up with yet another unfinished project, that's a killer.

    @joewilliams007 ha I thought of an auto waterer too before, even ordered sensors and all sorts then you know... The task of wiring it all up came along and never happened and the plants all died anyway.

    @SidTheITGuy To-do: Make to-do list app.

    @drrn that’s a circular dependency!
