Make a script which can basically tell you what is happening on your server from your mobile device basically server analytics

Description
The idea is to make a server analysis tool using python, shell etc . I have started working on it right now it's only storage and network stats which it shows and I am planning to make an android app (nothing too fancy). Other features include CPU usage with graphs, logins on the server, also I'll be looking for something which secures my server like detecting ddos attack and pinging the server admin to take action or maybe put some default protecting mechanism which can be triggered in such event. Any new suggestions are highly appreciated. Thanks

    Why dont you use existing webapps and use their APIs

    @system well I wanted to do a short project and this seems perfect, also you know how when we make our own tools it gives you satisfaction and a sense of security.

    @R1100 yes sort of but here instead of raspberry pi or Arduino we are just going to use small scripts to operate the whole thing . Maybe at some point we can include raspberry pi along with it if the whole thing becomes a big project.
